Support Hospice

Laois Hospice is a charitable and totally voluntary organisation, which helps support quality care and counselling services for the terminally ill and their families. We rely soley on the generosity of the general public to sustain the level of service which we provide.

Each year, hundreds of people take part in hospice-related fundraising activities. Since our foundation, countless numbers of events have taken place, including vintage rallies, sponsored walks, sponsored sporting events (GAA/Rugby etc.),table quizzes, golf classics, head shaves, and mini-marathons, to mention but a few.

The Hospice also has 'bottle collections' in local businesses in Laois, and we thank the businesspeople of the county for their unwavering support.

If you would like to make a private donation to Laois Hospice, please do not hesitate to contact any of the officers of the Committee. Their contact details can be found here.

About Laois Hospice

Since its inception in 1989, Laois Hospice Foundation has helped to provide a palliative care service for Cancer patients, whose illness no longer responds to curative treatment. The Hospice also provides support for the families of such patients. This total care involves doctors, nurses, a team of specialists and the clergy, who are all concerned with quality of life.
