imag0237
An idyllic Summer afternoon was had by all who visited the beautiful gardens at Gortnalee House, Donagmore, Co. Laois on Sunday 9th July as Ms Hazel Luskin Glennon opened her spectacular gardens as a fundraiser for Laois Hospice.

Those who attended enjoyed Hazel's guided tour through the beautiful woodland, cottage garden and meandering paths full of colour, texture and scent followed by afternoon tea on the deck to relax in the heavenly surroundings.

Some who attended remarked "Round every corner there is something new! We visit many gardens but this one is truly original!"

Thank you most sincerely to Ms Hazel Luskin Glennon for so generously sharing the splendour of her mature gardens with the public and donating all proceeds from this event to Laois Hospice.

Laois Hospice are reliant on the community to help maintain and expand hospice services and would like to thank all who supported this event.

About Laois Hospice

Since its inception in 1989, Laois Hospice Foundation has helped to provide a palliative care service for Cancer patients, whose illness no longer responds to curative treatment. The Hospice also provides support for the families of such patients. This total care involves doctors, nurses, a team of specialists and the clergy, who are all concerned with quality of life.
