Gortnalee Garden Open Day - 16 June

On Sunday 16 June, Ms Hazel Luskin Glennon will once again open her spectacular gardens at Gortnalee House, Donaghmore, Co. Laois as a fundraiser for Laois Hospice, from 2-5pm.

Since the last Open Day, the garden has seen the addition of a new patio, which provides a lovely view over the Cottage Garden. A new Zen garden has also been added. New toilet facilities have been installed for the comfort of visitors.

The Garden has recently been added to the prestigious Laois Garden Trail and will be participating in the Laois Garden Festival on the previous weekend (8th & 9th of June).

Those who attended in the past enjoyed Hazel's guided tour through the beautiful woodland, cottage garden and meandering paths full of colour, texture and scent followed by afternoon tea to relax in the heavenly surroundings.

Some who attended remarked "Round every corner there is something new! We visit many gardens but this one is truly original!" Why not pop along and see for yourself on 16 June?

About Laois Hospice

Since its inception in 1989, Laois Hospice Foundation has helped to provide a palliative care service for Cancer patients, whose illness no longer responds to curative treatment. The Hospice also provides support for the families of such patients. This total care involves doctors, nurses, a team of specialists and the clergy, who are all concerned with quality of life.
